Subhumans Frontman Brian Goble Dies of a Heart Attack

Brian Goble, Subhumans

Brian Roy Goble, former bassist and frontman of the Canadian punk rock project Subhumans, reportedly passed away on Sunday following a heart attack. He was 57.

In addition to the Subhumans (not to be mixed up with the British outfit of the same name), Goble — who also went by “Wimpy Roy” and “Sunny Boy Roy” — took part in a variety of Vancouver punk bands, such as Stone Crazy, the Skulls, and D.O.A. Though Subhumans originally split up in 1983, they reunited in 2006, and an updated version of their 1980 debut album, Same Thoughts Different Day, surfaced in 2010. Stream that below in remembrance.
